The Kulcha Hut

The Kulcha Hut is our place in Jogeshwari West. We are over at Shop No-2B in Swati Apartments. It’s a busy area, and there's always something happening on the street. I wanted to open a spot that just focused on one thing and did it well. We spend a lot of time by the oven. It gets hot in there, especially during the summer months. The smell of the bread usually brings people in. We have some people who travel from other parts of the city just to eat here. Swati Apartments is easy to find, so we get a lot of foot traffic. The shop isn't very big, so sometimes people have to wait on the sidewalk for a seat. No one seems to mind too much. I try to chat with everyone while I’m working. It’s a family-run business, so you’ll usually see me or my brother behind the counter. We don't use any fancy machines; most of the work is done by hand. Sometimes we run out of dough before the day is over. When that happens, we just close up early. It’s a simple way to live. We just want to make good food and keep the customers happy. It’s been a good few years here in Jogeshwari and we hope to stay for many more. It's just a local shop doing its best with the space we have available to us.
