Swagati Hotel

Our hotel is tucked away in the Vitava-Kalwa area of Thane, right near the Vitava bus stop and the old octroi naka. If you’re coming from the bus, you can’t really miss us. It’s a very local spot, and we see a lot of people passing through on their way to work or traveling between Thane and Navi Mumbai. The area can get quite dusty because of the road work and all the buses pulling in and out, but we try to keep the inside of the hotel as clean as we can. It’s a simple building with basic rooms for people who just need a place to sleep without spending too much money. We don’t have a big fancy staff, just a few of us who handle everything from the front desk to cleaning the floors. The octroi naka used to be a lot busier back in the day, but the area still has a lot of energy. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low or we have to wait for the laundry to come back, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be a five-star place; we just provide a room and a bed for the night. Most of our guests are regulars who know us by name, which makes the days go by a bit faster. It’s just an honest living for us here in Kalwa. We keep the doors open and make sure there is someone at the desk to help whenever a traveler stops by.
