Skilfab Engineering

You can find us on Nagappa Street in Jogeshwari West, specifically at 302/B. It’s an old building, and we’ve been here for years. We do engineering work at Skilfab Engineering, which basically means a lot of welding, cutting, and metal shavings everywhere. It smells like iron and oil most days. My dad started this, and now I’m the one looking after things. We aren't a big corporation with suits. Usually, I’m wearing a grease-stained shirt and trying to figure out why a part isn't fitting right. The neighbors know us by the sound of the grinders. We don't have a big sign out front, just the name on the door. It’s a cramped space but we know where every tool is kept. Sometimes a customer brings in a sketch on a scrap of paper, and we try our best to make it work. It’s messy, honest work. We don't use fancy software much; we rely on the old lathes and our hands. If it rains hard, we have to move some of the stock inside so it doesn't rust. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes keeping up with the newer shops, but we know our machines well. We just do the work and send it out. People around Nagappa Street know we've been here forever. We just keep the shop running like it always has been.
