Shanti Engg. (P) Ltd. operates out of Plot No. 23/1 and 23/2 in Pipariya. Having two plots gives us a bit more room to breathe than some of the smaller shops. We do engineering work, which basically means a lot of fabrication and putting things together. The area in Pipariya is a bit away from the main city buzz, which is nice because we have the space for the raw materials. Our buildings are simple sheds with iron roofs. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but the fans keep things moving. We aren't into big branding or anything like that. We just have our machines and a crew that knows how to handle them. Most of the guys here live nearby and have been with us for years. We take our work seriously but we don't feel the need to use big words to describe it. It's just about taking the drawings and making them into real objects. Sometimes things don't go perfectly on the first try, so we fix them and keep going. That’s just the nature of engineering. We keep our gates open during the day and there’s always a truck coming or going with something. It’s a steady pace of work without too much fuss or drama. When the weather is nice, we sometimes take our breaks outside near the fence just to get away from the machine noise for a minute. Then it is right back to the job at hand.
