Being on the eighth floor gives us a bit of a view of the Thane area, though it’s mostly just other rooftops and the busy streets below. Navi Mumbai has changed so much lately, and Ghansoli is getting more crowded every year. We started this lodging business because we saw a lot of people needing a place to stay while working in the city. Our office isn't very big, but we make it work. It’s usually filled with the sound of someone typing or talking on the phone. We don't go for any of that corporate stuff. We just want to make sure the rooms we manage are in good shape. It’s a lot of work between the maintenance guys and the front desk. Sometimes things break, and we have to scramble to get a plumber or an electrician over there. That’s just how the lodging business is. We try to be fair with everyone and keep things simple. The building itself is quite standard for this part of Thane. We know the security guards and the other people living in Dnyaneshwari. It’s a decent place to work, even if the commute can be a bit much sometimes. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
