Santoshi Mata Eng. Works

Our workshop is B-16 in the Mandal Compound, which is on Road Number 34 in the Wagle Industrial Estate. It’s a gritty part of town, but that’s where the real work happens. At Santoshi Mata Eng. Works, you’re going to hear the sound of metal hitting metal and machines running almost all day long. We don’t have a fancy office. It’s mostly just the shop floor where we do the fabrication and repair jobs. There’s grease on the floor and the smell of welding in the air, which is exactly how an engineering works should be. We’ve got a small crew of guys who really know their way around a lathe and a welding torch. Most of our customers are other businesses in the estate who need something fixed or a custom part made quickly. We don’t do much in the way of paperwork unless we absolutely have to. Usually, a guy walks in with a broken piece of machinery, and we figure out how to get it working again. It’s honest work and it gets hot in the summer under the tin roof, but we don’t complain much. We’ve been in the Mandal Compound for years and we know all the neighbors. It’s a community of makers and fixers. We don't have a website or a sales team. If the work is good, people come back, and that’s been enough to keep us going all this time.
