Wagle Estate is a busy place and we have been tucked away in Gala No-A-5 at Om Sai C.H.S. on Plot No-B-51 for quite some time now. Our spot on Road No-30 is right opposite the Tapasaya Company, which is how most people find us when they are looking for the workshop. It is a typical industrial setup with the usual noise of machines and metal. We spend most of our mornings getting the equipment warmed up and checking the lists for the day. There is always a layer of dust or oil on the floor, no matter how much we try to keep it tidy, but that is just how engineering shops are. The area around Ambika Nagar gets crowded during shift changes, so we usually try to get our deliveries in early. We do not have a big office or anything fancy like that. Most of the space is taken up by the lathe and the workbenches. We have a small desk in the corner for the paperwork, but nobody really sits there for long. Sometimes the tea guy comes by from the stall down the road, and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon when things get slow. We just focus on the jobs that come in, whether it is a small repair or a bigger part someone needs. It is steady work and we have gotten used to the rhythm of the machines over the years. We are just local people doing our bit to keep the business running.
