Jogeshwari West has its own rhythm, and you can find Royal Zaika right in the middle of the Behram Baug area. It’s a very lively neighborhood, and we’ve been a part of this community for a good while now. The street is always full of people, and our shop is right in the thick of all that energy. We start our prep work long before the sun even goes down because that’s when the real evening rush starts to happen. The smell of the charcoal and the spices is usually what draws people in from the sidewalk. We don’t have a big fancy dining room with waiters wearing suits and ties. It’s more of a casual, local spot where you come because you’re hungry for something that tastes like a home-cooked meal. The kitchen is small and it gets very hot, especially when we have every single burner going at once. We don’t really do any marketing or put up big posters around town. Most people know us just by walking past the door or hearing about us from their neighbors. Jogeshwari has its own pace, and we try our best to match it every day. Sometimes the orders pile up and people have to wait a little bit out on the sidewalk, but they usually don't mind because they know the food is coming. It’s just us and a few cooks making food for the people around here.
