Our project office for Reliance Engineering Associates Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away in the C.P. Warehouse Building over on Thane Belapur Road. Being part of the Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City area means there is always a lot of movement around us, but our corner is mostly about the engineering side of things. It is a warehouse setting, so don't expect anything fancy. We have big tables covered in drawings and parts that we are looking over. It can get a bit chilly in the mornings before the sun hits the building. Most of us wear heavy boots because there is always something being moved around. It is a practical space for practical work. We spend a lot of our time looking at technical details and trying to figure out how to make things fit. There is always a pot of tea going in the small kitchen area we set up in the back. The walls are mostly bare except for some calendars and safety notices. We aren't really the type to spend money on decorations when there is work to be done. It is a long commute for some of us, but we have a good routine down now. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay ahead of the deadlines. It is just a group of people working with tools and plans in a warehouse in Koparkhairane. We keep the lights on late when a project needs finishing.
