Rational Engineering Industries

We are located at D-16 in MIDC Phase II. It’s a busy industrial area, and we’ve been here long enough that we know all the neighbors. Our main thing is engineering work, which mostly involves turning parts on the lathe or doing some basic milling. The shop isn't very big, but we have crammed a lot of equipment into it over the years. You’ll usually find oil stains on the floor and stacks of metal rods leaning against the walls. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to answer the phones in a professional way; it’s usually just one of the guys wiping his hands on a rag before picking up. We take on jobs that larger factories don't want to bother with. It’s a lot of repair work and making small components for bigger machines. The noise can be quite something when all the machines are running at once. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too hot and keep going until the work is done for the day. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just drop by with a drawing or an old part they need copied. We do what we can with the tools we have, and usually, it turns out alright. It’s just how things go here in Phase II. We’ve been through good times and bad times, but the machines keep turning and the work keeps coming in for us.
