R S Regency Hotels Llp is over in Malad West, Mumbai. Our office is Flat Number 201 in the A Wing of Himachal Chs Ltd. It’s right on S V Road, which anyone in Mumbai knows is a very busy stretch of road. The noise of the traffic is pretty much constant, but you get used to it after a while. Being in Malad means we are in the heart of a lot of action. Our building is a typical cooperative housing society, so we have all the usual neighborhood dynamics. The office itself is just a regular flat converted into a workspace. We’ve got our computers and files, and not much else. We manage several hotel properties from this spot. It involves a lot of back-and-forth talking. Some days are just filled with phone calls and emails, while other days we are out visiting the sites. The Thane-Mumbai border isn't too far away, so we deal with people from all over. We don't have a mission statement or anything fancy like that on our walls. We just try to make sure the hotels are clean and the guests don't have any reason to complain. It’s a practical business. We deal with whatever problems come up, whether it’s a plumbing issue or a booking mistake. It’s just how we earn our living here in the city. Most nights we stay late just to finish the logs.
