Professional Engineering Works

Our workshop is at 19/A in the Oshiwara Industrial Centre. It’s right on Link Road, just across from the Oshiwara Bus Depot in Goregaon West. If you’ve ever been stuck in traffic near the depot, you’ve probably seen our building. Professional Engineering Works is exactly what the name says. We do a lot of manual labor and technical machining here. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil, which is pretty standard for a place like ours. We don’t have an air-conditioned office to hide in; most of us are out on the floor getting our hands dirty. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of machines packed into the space, but we make it work. The noise from the bus depot outside blends in with the sounds of our lathes and drills. We don’t have a website with a lot of fancy photos or a PR person. Word of mouth is usually how people find us. A customer comes in with a broken part or a sketch on a piece of paper, and we see what we can do. Some days are frustrating when a machine breaks down or a part doesn't fit, but that's part of the trade. We just keep going until the job is finished. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it’s worked for us so far. We are just local people doing our jobs in Goregaon every day.
