Our unit is Unit No 2 in the Madhu Vrinda Dhuri Industrial Phase-1. It’s out in Sativali, which is part of Vasai East. If you’re coming from the city, it’s a bit of a trek, but this is where all the industrial stuff happens. The area code is 0250, just in case someone is trying to call from outside. The building is a standard industrial shed. We have high ceilings and a lot of metal racks for all the parts we keep on hand. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, and the tin roof doesn't help much. We just drink a lot of water and keep moving. The machines are the main thing here. They take up most of the space and they are pretty loud. We’ve got a small area for the office work, but it’s mostly just a table and a couple of chairs. It’s a bit dusty because of the industrial estate roads, but we try to keep the inside as clean as possible. There’s a lot of coming and going with delivery trucks in this phase of the estate. You get to know the other shop owners around here. We all have the same issues with the power or the roads. It’s a practical place to work. We don't have any decorations on the walls. Just the calendars and some safety notices. It’s about the work, nothing else.
