Indian Timbers

Indian Timbers is located right at Airoli Naka on Belapur Road. It is a very busy intersection and there is always noise from the traffic going by. We have been working with wood here for a long time. Our yard is usually filled with different types of timber. It is heavy work and we are mostly outdoors or under the shed roof. You won't find any fancy suits or office furniture here. We wear boots and clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. The location on Belapur Road is convenient for people passing through. We spend our days measuring logs and planks. Sometimes we have to move things around with the crane if they are too heavy for us to lift. It can be quite a dusty job, especially when the wind picks up. We are just a group of people who know wood and how to handle it. We don't really have a set routine, we just take the orders as they come in. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk for a bit, but other days we are busy until late at night. We’ve seen the area around Airoli change so much over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We just focus on the timber and getting it ready for whoever needs it. It’s a simple life but we like being around the smell of the wood.
