Paratha Junction

We’re located over in Kandivali East, specifically at Survey No 35/13 in the Somnathnath Nagar area. Paratha Junction isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside, but it’s where we spend all our time. The main thing you’ll notice when you walk in is the smell of butter and the sound of the rolling pins hitting the wooden boards. It’s a rhythm we’ve gotten used to over the years. My back usually aches by the end of the day from leaning over the tawa, but that’s just part of the job. We keep things pretty simple here. There’s a stack of fresh dough in the corner and a big jar of pickles on the counter. We don't have a huge menu with hundreds of items; we just stick to what we know how to make. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main roads, but we get a steady stream of people from the nearby houses. Sometimes the flour gets everywhere, covering the floors and our aprons by ten in the morning. It’s a bit messy, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a functional space. We don’t use any special gadgets, just our hands and the old stove that’s been with us since we opened. It’s just a local place where you can sit for a minute and eat something warm before heading back out to your day. Nothing more, nothing less.
