Nityanand General Stores

Nityanand General Stores has been here on N M Joshi Road in Goregaon West for a long time. We are situated right across from Maharashtra Vidyalaya and quite close to the Power House. It is a busy part of the city, so there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and the students going to school. In the mornings, it is a bit of a rush with parents dropping off their kids and stopping by for a quick item. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of things, from basic groceries to small household items. I spend a lot of time checking the stock and talking to the distributors who pull up in their small tempos. It is not a very big store, so we have to stack things pretty high to make everything fit. The Power House workers often come in for some snacks during their breaks. It is a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep it as clean as we can. Sometimes the electricity goes out and it gets dark in the back, but that is just how it is. People in Goregaon are always in a hurry, so I try to be fast. I have lived in this area for years, so I have seen the neighborhood change a lot, but the shop stays pretty much the same. We are just here to sell what people need for their homes.
