Thirumurugan Stores

We’ve been running Thirumurugan Stores here at Bangur Nagar for quite some time now. You can find us at Shop No B/42 in the Heeramani Ratan society. It’s a small place, but we try to keep most of what folks in the building need on a daily basis. My family helps out behind the counter. Some days it gets a bit crowded when everyone comes home from work, but we manage to get through the rush. We deal with regular household supplies and things you might run out of suddenly. Usually, I’m the one opening up early in the morning. It’s quiet then before the traffic starts. We know most of the faces around here by name since we’re right inside the housing complex. It’s not a big fancy supermarket, just a local shop. Sometimes the stock arrives late or we run out of something popular, but that's just how it goes. We try to keep things organized on the shelves, though it's hard when it’s busy. We’ve seen kids grow up in this neighborhood while they were coming in for sweets or school stuff. If you live nearby or are passing through Bangur Nagar, you’ve probably seen our sign. It’s a simple setup. We focus on getting the basics right and making sure the residents have a place close by to pick up their milk or soap without traveling too far. It's just us doing our thing every day. Our doors usually stay open until late evening so the workers can stop by on their way home.
