New Bharat General Store

New Bharat General Store is located at number 25 on Vidhy Vadhi Puna Katra Road in Mogra Pada. It’s a simple spot on a road that sees a lot of local foot traffic. We aren't a big supermarket, just a local general store where you can get your daily household items. The shelves are mostly wooden and we built some of them ourselves to fit the space. We have everything from soap to big bags of grains. The lighting isn't great, just a few bulbs, but it does the job. Mogra Pada is a place where people know each other, so the shop often feels like a meeting point. Someone will come in for a loaf of bread and end up staying for ten minutes just talking. We don't mind it. It makes the day go by faster. The floor is made of old tiles that have faded over time. We keep a small stool behind the counter for when things get slow, but usually, there’s someone coming in. The deliveries come in through the front door and we have to move things around to make room. It’s a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We don't do any advertising; people just see the name New Bharat and know what we have. It’s a basic way to run a business, but it works for us and the people who live on Puna Katra Road. Most days we are just busy counting stock or talking to the vendors who bring the milk and bread.
