If you look for us at D-10 in the APMC Market-I, you’ll find us tucked into Phase-2 over here in Vashi. The market is always crowded with people shouting and carts moving everywhere. It’s not the quietest place to work but it keeps us busy. Nandavanathil Enterprises has been operating out of this unit for some time now. We handle a lot of different things throughout the week. Sometimes the trucks are late and that throws everything off, but that’s just part of being in Vashi. The air smells like dust and different goods being moved around. Our space is basic and functional because we don't need much more than that. We focus on getting the tasks finished. It's a lot of manual work and checking lists. We see the same faces every morning which makes it feel like a small community even though the market is huge. The traffic outside can be a real headache if you aren't used to it. We just keep our heads down and manage the stock. It’s not like those big offices in the city with glass walls. We have stacks of items and a lot of practical problems to solve. Every day is different depending on what arrives at the gate. We just take it as it comes and try to stay on top of the orders without making a big deal out of it.
