We are based over in Kandivali East, right on Nagdevi Street. It’s a small operation we’ve got going here. Mostly, we focus on getting meals ready for people’s events. It could be a birthday or just a get-together at someone's house. We do a lot of the prep work right in our kitchen. It’s not a huge place, but it works for what we need. The morning starts early with getting fresh vegetables from the market. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. Dealing with Nagdevi Street traffic can be a bit of a headache sometimes when we are trying to load the vans. We try to keep things simple. If you want a specific dish, we talk about it and see if we can do it. There are a few of us working here, and we've been doing this for a good number of years now. It’s hard work, especially standing on your feet all day near the stoves. But it’s what we know how to do. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. Just our workspace where the cooking happens. People usually just drop by to talk about what they need for their party. We try to be helpful and listen to what folks want for their special days. It's a lot of scrubbing pots at the end of the night.
