Mohanlal & Co.

Being over here at Tin Batti is quite something because of all the people moving around. Mohanlal & Co. is right opposite the Dream Land Hotel, which everyone knows, so it helps folks find us. We've been in this spot for a good while. The mornings are usually the busiest when the shops around us start opening their doors. We mostly deal with local folks and some regulars who have been coming since my father ran the place. It isn’t a very big shop, but we pack a lot into the space we have. Sometimes the traffic outside gets stuck because the road is a bit narrow here, and we just watch from the doorway. It’s a bit of a noisy area, especially on weekends when people stay at the hotel across the way. We keep our paperwork on an old wooden desk that's seen better days. The ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. My cousin helps out most afternoons. We don't bother with fancy displays or anything like that. People just know where things are kept. If you need something, you just shout and we’ll grab it from the back. It’s just how we do things here. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the front step, but we just put a bag there. It's a decent place to spend the day and we like the neighborhood.
