Manisha Metal Slitter

We've been at Kandivali East C 58 for a while now. The workshop stays busy. Most days involve handling large metal coils. People bring them in, and we use the slitter machines to cut them down to the sizes they need. It's loud here, but it's what we do. The staff knows the equipment well. We don't have a fancy front office or anything like that. Just the machines and the space to move materials around. Sometimes the trucks get backed up on the road outside, which is a bit of a headache for the neighbors. But metalwork takes room. We deal with different types of metals, mostly whatever the customers drop off. It's dusty work. We try to keep things organized so orders don't get mixed up. Most of us have worked here for years. We know the machines’ quirks. If one gets stuck, we usually know how to fix it without calling someone else. It's just a regular metal slitting shop. We open early in the morning. Usually, the first thing is checking the schedule for the day. We don't spend much time on the computer or fancy stuff. It's more about getting the blades set right and making sure the cuts are straight. If you come by, you'll see us in our work clothes, likely covered in a bit of oil or metal dust. That's just how the job is. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied.
