Our place is inside the Rai Master Compound, over in Chitalsar, Manpada. If you know S.V. Road, we aren't too hard to find, though the compound itself can be a bit of a maze if you're visiting for the first time. It’s unit 598. We share the estate with a lot of other small shops, so there’s always trucks coming and going at all hours. The Jai Bhawan Industrial Estate is a busy place to be. Inside our shop, it’s mostly just work benches and some heavy machinery that's seen better days but still works. We do engineering stuff, mostly custom parts and bits for bigger setups that other companies need. It gets quite hot in the afternoons under the tin roof, especially when the sun is beating down. We usually have the radio playing somewhere in the background, though you can barely hear it over the grinding noise. It’s not a showroom or a corporate office. It’s a place where we get our hands dirty every single day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on some crates for a bit until it comes back. The floor is stained with oil from years of work, and we’ve got shelves full of blueprints and old parts we might need again one day. It’s just how we run things here in Thane. We’ve been in this part of the city for a long time now. People know us by the noise and the specific address.
