The shop here in Jogeshwari West is where I spend most of my days. It’s a small place, honestly, but we keep it packed with all the stuff people around 1100 need every day. I’ve been sitting behind this counter for a long time now. You see the same faces every morning, people stopping by for a packet of milk or some soap before they head to work. The shelves are a bit crowded because we try to fit everything in. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty when the wind blows from the road, but that is just how it is here. I usually open up early while it’s still quiet. My nephew helps me out in the afternoons when the kids come by for snacks after school. It’s not a fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. We just have the usual things like tea, sugar, and some snacks. The floor is old stone and it’s worn down where people stand to pay. I know most of the families living around here by name. We don't really do big advertising because everyone knows where the shop is. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow lane and we have to move things around. It's just a regular life running a store in this part of town. We keep track of everything in a ledger book mostly. It's a busy spot but I like the noise of the neighborhood.
