Hotel Malvani

Hotel Malvani is right on Station Road, very close to Ulhasnagar Station in Ulhasnagar No 4. Because we are so close to the trains, it’s always busy around here. You can hear the announcements from the platform if the wind is right. Being in Thane - 421004, means there is constant movement. People are always rushing to catch a train or coming back from work. We keep the place open and try to stay on top of things. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes because the street is narrow and full of vendors. We don't have a lot of space for a big sign, but the locals know where we are. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning to talking to guests. It’s a lot of manual work. The building is old and has a lot of character, though it needs a coat of paint every now and then. We don't bother with fancy stuff. It’s just a place to sleep near the station. Sometimes the water pressure acts up, but we fix it pretty fast. We’ve seen plenty of people come through these doors over the years. Some stay for a night, others for longer. It’s just life on Station Road. We wake up early to get things ready before the first trains start. It’s a loud, busy life here in Ulhasnagar No 4, but we’re used to it. The station clock is what we go by every single day.
