Hare Krishna Engineers & Fabricators

We have been operating Hare Krishna Engineers & Fabricators from Laxmi-Chhaya C.H.S. for quite a long time now. Most of the people living around G. Gupte Road are probably used to the noise by now. We are right there at No. 7 in the Jai-Hind Colony. It’s a bit of a tight space, but we have managed to fit all our welding machines and cutters inside. My father was the one who actually got this place going, and I just sort of took over after helping him out for years. It is not a fancy corporate office with air conditioning or nice carpets. We have metal scraps in the corners and dust on the shelves. Most days, we are busy with whatever fabrication work the local people bring to us. Sometimes it is a balcony grill that needs fixing or some steel frames for a small shop nearby. The space can get very cramped when we get a fresh delivery of steel pipes or sheets, but we just make it work. It is physically hard work and your clothes are usually stained with oil and grease within the first hour of the shift. We don’t really have a website or a sales team. People usually just wander in or get our number from a neighbor. We try to get the jobs done when we say we will, but sometimes the power cuts out or a machine breaks down. We just sit outside, have some tea, and get back to it once things are running again.
