Mauli Nivas in Ganesh Nagar is where we are located, right across from the petrol pump in the At-Kon area of Bhivandi. This is a government office for the state of Maharashtra, so things are usually pretty busy with people coming in from the surrounding villages. We handle all sorts of administrative tasks and paperwork that the local district needs. The office itself is tucked away in a place that feels more like a neighborhood than a business district, which is nice for the locals. Inside, there are stacks of registers and files tied with red tape, and the ceiling fans never seem to stop spinning even when it's raining outside. We spend our days filling out forms, checking IDs, and talking to folks who have come a long way to get their documents sorted. It isn't a modern high-rise; it’s a simple building that serves the people in Thane district. There’s a bit of dust on the shelves and the furniture has seen better days, but it gets the job done for everyone. We have a small staff who knows the local area and the people by name. It’s common to see a queue forming outside before we even open the doors in the morning. We just try to keep things moving and help whoever walks in as best as we can. It is just everyday government work, nothing flashy, just the usual routine of helping the public and keeping the records updated for the department.
