Our workshop is located on LBS Marg in Majiwada, tucked right behind the Universal petrol pump in Thane. It’s a good spot because the petrol pump is a landmark everyone knows. We do engineering work here. That means a lot of metal, tools, and grease. The shop floor is usually covered in drawings and parts that we’re working on. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty every day. There’s always the sound of grinding or welding in the background. We have a small office area where we handle the paperwork, but most of the action happens out back. Sometimes we have to wait on parts to arrive, which can be frustrating, but we find other things to do in the meantime. We don't have a big marketing department telling us what to say. We just tell people we do engineering and show them the work. It’s a local business and we’ve seen Thane change a lot over the years from our spot on LBS Marg. The traffic outside is always heavy, but once you step inside, it’s all about the machines. We focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the parts fit. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living and we’ve stuck with it because it’s what we know how to do best. There is always something new to fix or build.
