Fainger Engineering

Our place is in the Chaityan Housing Co-Op Society, specifically Room 18 in the D-2 building. We are located in Ganesh Nagar, which is quite close to Icon Hospital in Dombivili East. It’s a typical residential area turned into a workspace, so it feels very much like a home. Fainger Engineering has been running out of this small spot for years. Getting here can be a bit of a trek if you are coming from the station because the roads are always crowded with rickshaws and people shopping for groceries. The room itself is a bit small, and we have files stacked up in the corners because there never seems to be enough shelf space. We don’t have a big fancy sign out front, just a small plate on the door so people know they have the right place. Most of us take the local train to get here, so we are used to the rush and the heat of the afternoon. It is not the kind of place where you will see people in expensive ties. We are usually in our regular clothes, dealing with drawings and technical details. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing in the hallway, which adds a bit of life to the workday. We just focus on the engineering tasks we have in front of us and try to stay on top of the schedule. It is a humble setup, but it works for what we need to do.
