Dilip Engineering Works

We have been here at Dilip Engineering Works for quite a while now. If you are looking for our spot, we are located right opposite H & R Johnson on L.B.S. Marg in Thane West. It is a busy stretch of road with a lot of traffic passing by, but we have grown to like the noise. Most of our days start early when we get the machines going. We handle all sorts of engineering jobs. Sometimes it is just a small part that a neighbor needs fixed, and other days it is much bigger work that takes up every bit of space on the floor. By noon, the floor is usually covered in metal shavings and bits of wire. We do not have a fancy waiting room or a front desk with a receptionist. It is just a workshop with some chairs and the smell of grease and burnt metal. People usually just drop by and show us what they need done. We do not do much talking; we just look at the piece of metal and tell you if we can fix it. The heat gets a bit tough in the summer under this roof, but we have some fans and the tea stall nearby is decent. We have known the other shop owners for years. It feels like a small community even though Thane has grown so much around us lately. We just keep our heads down and work. If the machines are running, we are doing fine.
