Dhanlaxmi Fabrication & Engineering Works

If you go down to the O.T. Section in Ulhasnagar 2, right at Amardham Chowk, you will find our workshop. We are directly opposite the 24 No. Marathi School. Being across from a school means we hear the bell ring every day, which helps us keep track of time without looking at a clock. We go by Dhanlaxmi Fabrication & Engineering Works. It sounds like a big name, but we are just a local group of guys working with steel and iron. The shop floor is always covered in dust and metal filings, but that is just part of the job. We spend most of our time welding or cutting things to size. It is noisy and bright, especially when the torches are going. We started out small and stayed that way because we like being able to talk to everyone who walks in. You won’t find any receptionists or people in suits here. If you want something done, you just talk to the person holding the tools. We just try to get the job finished without a lot of fuss or delay. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, especially in the rainy season when everything feels damp, but we keep the machines running. We have been at this spot for a long time and the locals know where to find us. It is a honest way to make a living and we do not plan on changing much.
