Das Engineering Works

Das Engineering Works is a small operation located at Unit No. 4 on Camp Road in Behram Baug. It is a straightforward workshop where we handle various engineering tasks that come our way. The unit itself is modest, just enough room for the essential tools and the workbenches we use every day. Camp Road is a fairly active area, so there are always people walking by or vehicles stopping nearby. We don’t have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. It is mostly just us doing the physical work and managing the day-to-day stuff. The lighting isn't the best, especially in the back of the unit, but we have got used to it over the years. We spend a lot of time fixing things or fabricating parts according to the sketches we get. It is the kind of place where you will always find a bit of grease on the floor and a stack of metal offcuts in the corner. We start the day by opening up the shutters and getting the air moving through the place. It can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons, but we have a few fans that help. We aren't making anything world-changing, just solid parts that people need. Most of our time is spent focused on the machines and making sure everything is aligned properly. It is hard work, but it is what we know how to do. We like the local feel of Behram Baug.
