Ankit Engineering Works

Ankit Engineering Works is located at 25/316 in the Samarpan Industrial Estate, which is on Hanuman Nagar Road No 28 in Wagle Estate, Thane. It’s a real industrial hub here, so there is always the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of grease in the air. Our unit is one of many in the estate, and we’ve been here long enough to know most of the other shop owners. We do job work and engineering projects, mostly for the factories nearby. The space is filled with machines and there is barely enough room to walk between them. We don't have an office staff; we do all the paperwork ourselves on a small wooden table in the corner. It’s often covered in oily fingerprints. Thane gets very humid, so we are usually sweating by mid-morning. We don't bother with fancy uniforms, just old clothes that we don't mind getting ruined. We focus on the work that comes in every day. Sometimes it’s a big order that keeps us late into the night, and other times it’s just small fixes. We don't have a marketing plan or any big goals other than finishing the work on time. It’s a tough environment, but it’s what we are used to. We just take the work as it comes and try to do a decent job without any fuss.
