Amritsar Junction

Amritsar Junction is our small eatery located at number 11 on the 9th Main road in the 3rd Block of Kandivali East. We mostly do food that reminds people of the north, like what you would find in a typical Punjabi kitchen. It’s not a very big place, just a few tables and a kitchen that takes up most of the back area. We’ve been at this address for several years and have seen many other shops come and go on this street. The 3rd Block is usually quite busy during the day with people going about their business. We get a lot of office workers coming in for lunch because we are quick and the food is filling. We don't use fancy ingredients, just the regular stuff we buy from the market every morning. The noise from the 9th Main road is always there, so it’s never really quiet inside. We try to keep the place as clean as possible, but it’s hard with so many people coming in and out. Sometimes the stove gives us trouble or the sink gets clogged, and we have to fix it ourselves while we are still serving customers. It’s a lot of standing and sweating in the kitchen, but we are used to it by now. We just do our work and go home to rest before we have to start all over again the next morning.
