A K Engineering Works

A K Engineering Works is based out of units 27 and 28 in Motilal Nagar. We are on Sri K P Puttana Chetty Road, right on the 5th Main inside the Amrapali Industrial Estate. It’s a big name for a place that’s mostly just metal and machines. The estate stays loud from morning until evening. You can hear the sounds of work coming from every direction here. Our shop is usually covered in a bit of dust and grease, which is just how an engineering place ends up looking. We spend a lot of time on our feet on the concrete floor. My boots are pretty worn out from walking between the machines all day. The industrial estate has a lot of trucks moving in and out, so you have to watch where you walk in the mornings. We’ve been at this spot for a good stretch of time. It's not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We wear work clothes that can get dirty. Sometimes the power cuts out in the estate, and we all just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. It is a tight-knit group of shops around here. We know the guys next door and the ones across the way too. We just keep the machines running and handle whatever jobs come in through the gate. It's honest work and a busy life. We have a small sink in the back for washing up.
