Tanawala Steel & Building Material is situated out in District Dang. Being in a place like Dang means things are a bit different than the big cities. We have a good amount of space for the steel rods and the other building supplies we keep on hand. The weather can be a bit unpredictable here, so we are always keeping an eye on the sky to make sure the inventory stays dry. It is a local operation through and through. We know most of the people who come by because they live in the nearby villages or are working on local projects. The yard is where most of the action happens, with the crane moving steel around or the guys loading up a truck. Our office is simple, just a place to get out of the sun and handle the billing. We do not have any corporate branding or big slogans on the walls. It is just the name Tanawala on the gate. We have been part of the district for a while, and we have seen plenty of houses go up using what we sell. Life is a bit slower here, and we like it that way. We just show up, open the gates, and see what the day brings. There is always something that needs stacking or a delivery that needs to be sorted out for a site further out. We just keep our heads down and get the work done for our neighbors and the community.
