Essar Steel(Hazira) Ltd.

Our spot is at 142/Maheshwar Park Soc, right on the Parvat-Godadra Road in Surat. The pin is 394211. It’s a bit of a residential feel around here, which is nice because it’s not as loud as the main industrial zones. We are Essar Steel(Hazira) Ltd. but we operate out of this society address for our administrative needs. It’s basically a converted space where we handle the day-to-day tasks. You’ll see some of our staff coming in on their motorbikes every morning. We have a few rooms filled with desks and cupboards for all the steel records. It can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time. The Parvat-Godadra Road gets quite congested during rush hour, so we try to get in early. We don't have a big cafeteria, so we usually just share whatever snacks people bring from home. It's a very local feel. We know the neighbors and they know us. There’s no big corporate logo on the roof or anything like that. We just do the work of tracking shipments and talking to the site managers. It’s a lot of checking numbers and making sure the GST filings are right. We aren't here to win awards for our office decor. We just need a place to work where we can focus. It’s simple, it’s practical, and it works for us. We’ve been here for a good while now and we like the rhythm of this part of Surat. It is home.
