You can find us at 4-19-84 on Bahadreshwara Road. It’s right in the middle of Marwadi Baazar, which means it’s always packed with people and carts. The street is narrow and sometimes getting a delivery truck in here is a real challenge. We have to be quick with the unloading so we don’t block the whole road for too long. Inside, we have stones of all kinds crammed into the space. It’s a bit of a maze, but we know exactly where every piece is hidden. The market vibe is very energetic, and we get all sorts of customers walking in from the street. Some are looking for a small piece for a repair, while others want enough for a whole floor. We don’t use any fancy technology to track things; we just know our stock by heart. It gets hot in the baazar during the summer, but we keep the fans going and stay focused on the customers. Working in such a historic part of town has its own rhythm. We’ve seen the shops around us change over the years, but we’ve stayed right here on Bahadreshwara Road. It’s not a quiet job, but it’s what we know how to do best. We just open the shutters every morning and see what the day brings.
