Bharat Metal

Bharat Metal is located at 266/1 in the Gidc area, right across from the Marketing Yard. Being near the yard is helpful because there is always activity and people moving around. Our place is basically a shed where we store and handle various metal pieces. It is a bit dusty and the floor is usually covered in scrap, but that is the nature of working with metal. We have some basic tools and machines that we use every day. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear a nice suit, that is for sure. We are usually covered in some kind of grease or dust by lunchtime. The Gidc estate is a tough environment but we like the community of workers here. We have our regulars who come by to drop things off or pick stuff up. Sometimes the noise from the neighbors is a bit much, but you get used to it after a few years. We don't have a big sign or anything fancy, just the address and our name on the door. It is a practical business and we don't spend money on things we don't need. We just focus on getting the metal sorted and keeping the workspace somewhat organized so we can find what we are looking for when someone asks. It is hard work but it keeps us busy and the yard across the street keeps the area feeling alive.
