Ghanshyam Welding Work

Our workshop, Ghanshyam Welding Work, is at 14/19 in Bhorajpara. We are quite close to the paper mill, so you can usually smell the pulp in the air. It’s a small place, but it’s enough for what we do. We have been doing welding for a long time now. There is always a blue light flickering from the torches and the smell of burnt metal. We fix all sorts of things, from broken gates to tractor parts. People bring us things that look like they are ready for the scrap heap, and we try to stick them back together. It’s not a clean job. Our faces are usually covered in soot by the end of the shift. We have a few old stools where customers can sit while they wait, but mostly people just stand around and watch us work. We don't have any fancy signs or a big office. It’s just a garage-style setup with tools hanging on the walls. Sometimes we have to work outside if the piece is too big to fit through the door. We don't really have a set schedule; if someone has an emergency repair, we usually try to help them out even if it’s late. It’s just how things are done here in Bhorajpara. We are just local workers doing what we know how to do, and we have been at it for years.
