Your Choice

Our place is called Your Choice and we sit right on Station Road in Salabatpura, number 2222. It is a busy stretch of road because of the station being so close, so there are always people rushing past our door. We sell a bit of everything, mostly clothes or small household items that people might need on their way home. The shop isn't very wide, but it goes back quite a way. We have stacks of boxes in the corners that we haven't had time to move yet. It’s a lot of standing around waiting for the next train to let out, as that is when we get most of our customers. Salabatpura is a loud area with all the horns and rickshaws, but you get used to the noise after a week or two. We try to keep the prices fair because we know most people around here are just trying to get by. 2222 is a lucky number some people say, though for us it’s just our address on the mail. The fan on the ceiling squeaks a little when it’s on the high setting. We don’t have a fancy sign, just the name painted above the door. Most days it’s just one or two of us working, folding clothes and chatting with whoever stops in to look around. It’s a bit dusty, but we keep the main floor swept for the customers.
