Abhay Agencies

Abhay Agencies is located right in the middle of the Bombay Market in Umarwada, unit 203. If you have ever been to this market, you know how crowded and loud it gets. There are people everywhere, pushing carts and carrying big bundles of fabric or boxes on their shoulders. Our space is tucked away in one of the hallways. It’s not very big, so we have to use every inch of the walls to stack our inventory. Sometimes it feels like the boxes are going to touch the ceiling. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in looking for specific items. Since we are in the market, everything moves fast. You have to keep track of what is coming in and what is going out, or you lose your mind. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of new textiles and street food from the stalls outside. We don't have a fancy office, just a small desk where we keep our ledgers and a couple of chairs that have been around for years. It is a grind, working in such a busy environment, but you get used to the noise. We usually have a cup of tea in the afternoon while we check the stock. It’s a lot of manual counting and moving things around. The lights stay on late because the market never really seems to sleep. We close up when the gates start rattling shut.
