Vijay Telecom

We are over at Japan Marketing, shop J-63, near the Delhi Gate on Ring Road. It’s a very busy part of the city. The traffic on the Ring Road is almost constant, and there’s a lot of foot traffic near the gate. Vijay Telecom is a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. We have shelves full of mobile accessories and small electronics. Most of the time, I am hunched over a tiny workbench with a magnifying glass, trying to fix a cracked screen or a charging port that stopped working. The parts are so small that if you sneeze, you might lose a screw. People come in all day with their phones, usually looking a bit stressed because they can't get their devices to turn on. It is a lot of patient work. The shop gets a bit cramped when more than two people are inside at once. We have a small stool for customers to sit on while they wait, but most people just stand and watch. Outside, the street noise is a mix of horns and people shouting. We keep the glass door closed to keep some of the dust out, but it still finds its way in. It’s a steady pace here. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us managing the sales and the repairs. It is just a regular shop doing regular work for the people in the neighborhood.
