If you are looking for us, we are down in the basement of Jamna Niwas at Plot No- 841/B. We’re right near Udhna Darwaja on the Ring Road, directly opposite where the Gujrat Samachar Press is located. Being in a basement means it stays a little cooler than the street level, which is nice when the Surat heat gets to be too much. The Ring Road is incredibly busy, so there is always the sound of traffic above us. We deal with publicity work, which means we spend a lot of time looking at layouts and talking to clients about where they want their ads to go. It’s a practical setup with some old desks and plenty of storage for samples. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and we’re used to the way the light comes in through the small windows near the ceiling. Sometimes it gets a bit cluttered with rolls of material and old files, but we know where everything is. People stop by after seeing our sign near the press across the street. We aren’t really trying to be anything fancy; we just do our work and go home. Most of the time, we are busy coordinating things or checking that the prints came out the way they were supposed to. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication, but that’s just the nature of the publicity business around here. We just keep our heads down and get the job done.
