Shop number 5 at Narayan Darshan Complex is where we stay busy. It’s right opposite the old Rupam Cinema on Ring Road, so there is always noise from the street coming in through the door. It is a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. Most days start with us moving boxes around just to find space to sit down and start on the repairs. We get a lot of people dropping off laptops because their kids spilled something on them or the hinge finally snapped off after years of use. Being on Ring Road means a lot of commuters stop by quickly before heading home. Sometimes it’s just a quick fix like a new mouse or a power cord, other times we have to keep the machine for a few days to really see what is wrong with the fan. We have been in this spot for a bit, so we know the other shop owners around here pretty well. It’s not a shiny corporate place, just a regular shop with tools scattered on the benches and some old posters on the walls. We don't really have a big staff, so when it gets busy, people have to wait a little while we finish up what's on the bench. We handle everything from desktops that won't boot to printers that keep jamming for no reason. It’s simple work but it keeps us on our toes through the week.
