Umiya Paints

Umiya Paints is at G-21 in the City Centre, right near Sosyo Circle. If you know the Udhna-Magdalla Road area, you know it gets quite a bit of traffic. Inside, it’s mostly stacks of paint cans and color charts. We spend a lot of time mixing colors and helping people decide between one shade of blue and another. It’s funny how much time you can spend looking at a tiny piece of paper. The shop isn’t huge, but we make the most of the space. We’ve got stuff piled up to the ceiling in the back. Sometimes the smell of fresh paint is quite strong, but you get used to it after a few minutes. We see a lot of regulars, mostly painters or people doing up their houses. We try to keep things straightforward. If someone asks for a specific finish, we find it. It’s a simple business. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us behind the counter. The City Centre is a good spot because people can park nearby. We’ve been here long enough that the locals know where to find us. Usually, there’s a stack of brushes or some masking tape sitting on the counter ready for the next person. We just keep moving through the day, one can at a time. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps the lights on and the brushes moving.
