Vishnu Syntex is right in the middle of the Pandesara GIDC in Surat. If you have ever been to this area, you know it is all about heavy industry and constant work. We are at plot 273/4. It is a very industrial setting, so there is always a lot of noise, dust, and trucks moving in and out of the gates. Our building is a big, basic structure that is designed for work rather than looks. We handle synthetic fabrics here, which is a major industry for this part of the city. The floors are usually covered in bits of thread or fabric scraps from the day's production. We have machines that run for long shifts, and they generate a lot of heat. We don't have fancy air conditioning, so we just use big industrial fans to keep the air moving as much as possible. The people who work here are local and they really know their way around the machinery. We aren't here to impress anyone with a fancy office. We are here to get the orders filled and the trucks loaded. We deal with large rolls of synthetic materials every day. It involves a lot of heavy lifting and manual labor. We know the other guys on the street and we all help each other out when the road gets blocked or the power plays up. It is basic, hard work, and we have been doing it this way for a long time without any complaints. That's just how we run things.
