Golwala Market is a loud and busy place to spend your day. We are up on the 3rd floor at number 4026. If you have ever walked around Ring Road, you know how hectic it gets with all the people and the traffic. We have been up here in this unit for quite some time now. Dealing with silk is what we know best. It is not really easy work because you have to be so careful with the delicate threads. Our space is not very large, but we make it work even with all the stock we have to keep on the shelves. Sometimes the lift in the building does not work, so we end up using the stairs a lot. It keeps us moving, at least. We sell to all kinds of people who come through the market looking for silk mills. We do not bother with a big website or fancy ads. We just talk to whoever walks in. Most of our day is spent unfolding and folding cloth to show the colors. The lighting in the market is not always the best, but we know the quality by how the fabric feels in our hands. It is a family-run kind of thing. We have a few guys helping us out who have been with us for years. We usually eat our lunch together when it is not too busy. The noise from the road is always there.
