Vijay Telecom

We are set up here in Surat, right on 30th A Cross in the 4th T Block area. The address is 2/627, which is easy enough to find once you get into this part of the neighborhood. It’s a busy corner of the city. We opened this place because we saw everyone always needing help with their phones. Every day is different here. Some mornings it’s quiet and we just sit and sort through the new stock of SIM cards or phone covers. Then by noon, it’s a mad rush with people coming in for recharges or wanting to look at new handsets. The shop isn't huge, so when five people come in at once, it feels very full. We have some old stools for people to sit on while they wait for their repairs. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time for that yet. My nephew helps me out on the weekends when school is off. We try to keep the most common spare parts in the drawer so we don't have to keep people waiting. Surat is a fast place, and everyone wants their phone fixed yesterday. We just do what we can, one customer at a time. It’s a simple life running a telecom shop in this block. We have some regulars who just stop by to say hello while they are out running errands. It feels like we are part of the street.
