You can find us over at Laxmi Narayan Society in the Dabholi area of Surat. We go by Vigyan Fab Limitedvigyan Fab Limited Liability Partnership. Our office is at number 4. Ved Road is always packed with people and vehicles, so it’s a lively place to be working every day. We’ve been here for a bit now, just focusing on our fabric work. It’s a family-style environment here, even if it's technically a partnership. We spend most of our time dealing with samples and talking to the weavers. Surat is the heart of textiles, so there’s a lot of competition, but we just stick to what we know. The office isn't very large, mostly filled with rolls of cloth and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don't really have a front desk person; whoever is closest to the door usually helps whoever walks in. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when three deliveries arrive at once, but we figure it out. We aren't really into big marketing plans. We just want to do our job and go home to our families at the end of the day. It’s a lot of manual work, checking the weave of the fabric and making sure the colors came out right. If things aren't perfect, we try again. That’s just the way it goes in this industry. It gets dusty and loud, and my desk is always covered in loose threads, but it’s our business and we're proud of what we manage to get done every week.
